David Ho Chi-Hoo ’86 is Executive Chairman of the DH Group. He holds key management positions in DH Group’s member companies including Chairman of DH Financial Holdings Ltd, Chairman of Guangdong Guanying Mortgage Service Co. Ltd, Chief Executive of Macy’s Candies Group, and Chairman of Equip Asia Group.

Mr. Ho is an entrepreneur with over 25 years of management and investment experience in manufacturing, finance, and technology. After a successful investment banking career, he joined the family business Horizon East International Limited in 1990, which was one of the largest garment manufacturers in Hong Kong in the 1970s. In 1992, he commenced his own business by acquiring Macy’s Candies Limited. Since then, the Group has grown substantially into a diversified portfolio of operating businesses and strategic investments.

Mr. Ho is dedicated to contributing to public education and the wider society. He was the Chairman of Po Leung Kuk and is currently a member of its Advisory Board. Mr. Ho is City University Hong Kong’s council member and Hong Kong Baptist University’s Honorary Court Member. He is also a trustee of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is also a philanthropist and is the Founder and Chairman of the David Ho Charitable Foundation and a donor of Po Leung Kuk Horizon East Primary School and Po Leung Kuk Stanley Ho Sau Nan Primary School. Passionate about history and youth development and the integration of Hong Kong into mainland China, he founded Concentric Education Foundation (Hong Kong) Limited in 2014 and the National History Education Centre in 2018. The charity has since published books on education and organized many initiatives in mainland China. Over the years, Mr. Ho has personally made substantial meaningful donations to charities, schools, and universities globally.

David Ho was previously appointed by the Government of the Hong Kong SAR as a member of various committees and panels including the Central Policy Unit, Quality Education Fund Steering Committee, Advisory Committee on Admission of Quality Migrants and Professionals, Barristers Disciplinary Tribunal, and Housing Appeal Panel. He has been awarded the Bronze Bauhinia Star (BBS) and appointed as a Justice of the Peace (JP) by the HKSAR Government for his meritorious public and community service. Mr. Ho obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Cornell University respectively.
